If the compass heading seems incorrect or the dial's North marker drifts, recalibrate your device's magnetic sensor by moving your phone through a figure-eight pattern, as shown below — tilt and rotate through all orientations a few times until the reading stabilises. Keep the phone away from metal objects, magnets, and speakers while calibrating.
